I have a lovely concoction of henna waiting to be used. This is my first time, and I'm armed and ready; newspapers covering the floor, an army of gloves, and an assortment of deep conditioners. This is my deepest and sincere apology to my hair after years of Brazilian blowouts, straightening treatments, bleaching, dyes, and everything in between. I've been trying to take good care of my hair; deep conditioners, more organic products, and finally, henna. I mixed it with a can of coconut milk, and I've heard that it turned out wonderful for others. If you have hennaed your hair before or do it regularly, I would love to hear about your experience.

Benefits of using henna: - It's plant based - organic and healthy. - Stronger strands/less breakage. - Reduces or eliminates dandruff. - Smooths hair cuticle giving hair a healthy appearance. - Thickens hair. - Promotes growth due to antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. - Less shedding. - It is said to loosen curl pattern, can be a pro or con.
