I need to start making it more of a habit to sit down in a warm cafe with a friend and catch up on a windy Saturday. I keep forgetting there is a popular cafe down the street that I recently found and have yet to visit. It's so nice to spend some time with a book or even a few hours (and a few cups of Chai) working on your studies. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious cinnamon and cream toast with our own choices of drinks - vanilla latte for me. It was all fun and girly talk and really brought me back to Earth as I have been flying all over the place with the stresses of school and work; these moments of laughter remind me that I am human and it's okay to let go and relax. I think today was the coldest day of the year with bitter gusts of wind. Now I can enjoy the rest of the night all bundled up with my new Yankee Candles glowing (newest one is Christmas Cookie) and American Horror Story episodes.

Every time I find my way downtown there is always something new and I love the continuous change. What really caught my eye were all the new stores and the new styles; cute animals on sweaters and extremely oversized puffy jackets. With Mother and Daughter shopping/eating out day out approaching on Monday, I may hint a few times that it would be wise if we stopped into some of the new stores and see what happens from there. I saw some lovely embellished blazers that I wouldn't mind introducing to my closet.

Have a lovely weekend!
