After a weekend spent in Seoul, I'm using this Sunday to wind down, and enjoy some tea while catching up on National Geographic Travel. My brother sold a piece at the SYLC Charity Art Fair, and it calls for a huge congratulations because he was the only artist who did and he contributed a percentage to help feed malnourished children in North Korea.
Our Seoul group was able to feast on authentic Mexican food at Jarrito's in Itaewon, delicious American and Italian food at Kinfolk Kitchen in Myeong-dong, and Seoul's famous and never ending selection street food. I've been to Seoul many times for shopping trips, day time explorations, and crazy nights of binge drinking with my friends. It was a very different experience to spend the weekend in Seoul without any alcohol or shopping involved and being able to see, eat, laugh and enjoy the day and night was such a special time. I wasn't able to take as many photos as I wanted, but the memories will stay with me forever. It's not all about taking photos of every single thing, even though a little history is nice to have, but it's about living and enjoying the moment.
